The IVD
founded in September 2010, is a scientific, non-profit organization and is
based in Larissa, Greece. The Institute focuses on the dissemination of knowledge and the implementation
of research and its objective is to promote vascular medicine not only on a scientific plane, but also at an ethical and professional level.

• providing information on prevention and treatment to individuals and groups
• Encouraging voluntarism regarding research, prevention and treatment of vascular diseases

targeted information on studies in Greece and abroad, on current trends in employment, vocational training and retraining.

Its annual international symposium LIVE (Leading Innovative Vascular Education) along with other meetings and courses bringing together specialists and creating a unique forum in the field of vascular surgery in Southern Europe and the Mediterranean region
establishes
links with international associations and institutions within mutual information and cooperation, support, promotion and of course effort in organization of scientific meetings and courses, in the framework of their educational purposes.
